Sacraments

Baptism:

Baptisms are scheduled throughout the year. Parents will need to meet with the Pastor to prepare for the baptism of their child. To make arrangements please contact the Parish Office at 371-9632 or via email at smcsec@nycap.rr.com.

Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession):

3:30 – 4:00 pm on the First Saturday of the month. Seasonal Communal Services and on every Saturday during Advent & Lent. Anytime by appointment.

Marriage:

Couples planning to marry should contact the Pastor at least 6 months in advance of your proposed wedding date in order to make your wedding arrangements and to participate in the parish marriage preparation program. To make arrangements please contact the Parish Office at 371-9632 or via email at smcsec@nycap.rr.com

Anointing of the Sick:

Celebrated annually or please contact the Pastor at 371-9632 or frcebula@nycap.rr.com.

First Eucharist:

Preparation for First Eucharist and First Reconciliation is family based and begins in the 2nd grade year. Children preparing for a sacrament should have completed at least one prior year of Faith Formation. Confirmation:

Preparation for Confirmation begins in grade 10 and includes 5 parent/child classes and a retreat. Teens preparing for a sacrament should have completed the 9th grade year of Faith Formation including the Christian Sexuality class. If your child attends a Catholic school, they should register in their home parish for immediate Confirmation preparation in grade 10. Attendance at classes and the retreat is required.
