Building Bridges
Building Bridges fosters a global community by breaking down barriers and celebrating commonalities. St. Mary’s has partnered with Caminando Por La Paz in Guatemala since 2019, a program that provides education, food, and emotional support to marginalized children and families. Founded by Maryknoll Father Thomas Goekler, it continues to be run by former beneficiaries who aim to uplift their community. The Building Bridges committee raises awareness and funds through parish events, such as bake sales and coffee sales. Their efforts include sharing Guatemalan traditions and supporting the community’s education and nutrition programs.
